Airway's Very Own 'Italian Job'

The false bulkhead allowed the location of this Fujitsu unit

Modified store room door

When restaurant owner Abdeljalil Attia noticed customers leaving his pleasant, well presented basement restaurant in Cambridge he realised it was because of the uncomfortably hot conditions.

After looking into the Yellow Pages he invited two companies to come in, survey, and quote to provide some cooling to his own little Italy.

One company arrived, sighed, tutted and could not see any way of installing anything without major building work disruption.

Airway arrived and after several café latte's found a way - with no ceiling voids to hide pipework and walls which were far from square the Airway design engineer found a disused air duct to run one set of pipes and suggested having a false bulk-head build to hide the second.

As money was an issue (isn't it always?) Airway choose two Fujitsu Wall Mounted Split Inverter Systems. Airway also employed a sub-contracted joiner to come in and create a false bulkhead for the first Fujitsu unit and modify a storeroom door to accommodate the second.

The result was a very neat and tidy installation with excellent results.

Now students and visitors to this central Cambridge establishment can eat and drink in total environmental comfort.

And we didn't even have to "blow the bloody doors off"!
